Here we are today, still designing and building breathtaking backyards throughout Northern California.

Stephen Gibbs grew up with Thomas in the family business designing and selling pools.
Today, Stephen has designed thousands of pools throughout his career.

Sonoma Backyard built my swimming pool when we rebuilt our home after the 2017 Tubbs fire. I did my due diligence, getting several estimates and meeting several people from different companies. I immediately felt most comfortable with Steve and the staff from Sonoma Backyard. I am completely happy with all of their work and the amazing coordination they had to facilitate due to all the different projects happening at my house at the same time. It is 2023 and they continue to respond to me when I ask them a question or ask for assistance.
They are local and they are the best.
Stephen and his crew had phenomenal communication through every step of the job, from construction to completion. It was an easy (and fun) process and they delivered exactly what we asked for.
Julie and myself just want to thank the entire Sonoma Backyard organization for creating our backyard paradise. From day one, you, your crews, subcontractors and vendors were on time, professional, clean, and really seemed to have a passion for their trade resulting in a pool experience that exceeded our expectations. There were some hi stress times on our behalf wondering if we were picking out the right materials, colors, tile etc. since this was our first time building a pool, knowing it would be permanent, but your expertise, product selection, experience and suggestions put us at ease.
